The Hisense U8G is a really great Android TV for the gamers out there. That is because it does have an HDMI 2.1 port and supports 4K@120Hz gaming. That’s a big deal for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles.

The Sony X90J is the company’s high-end smart Android TV for 2021. It features Android TV with Google TV, so you’re getting the latest and greatest from Google here too. Additionally, there is support for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, so you can choose to use your favorite smart assistant.
The X90J comes in four sizes, ranging from 50 to 75-inches. So there’s something here for everyone. It also has Dolby Vision HDR, which is going to be great for those that want an incredible looking picture.

This is perhaps the best OLED TV available that runs on Android TV. Though there’s also not a lot of options, since LG does webOS. But this is the A80J model, which came out in Summer 2021. It’s still the latest from Sony, and a really good option for Android TV.
It has HDMI 2.1 and 4K@120fps, so it is going to be great for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. There’s also support for Chromecast and AirPlay 2.
TCL 4-Series Android TV

You might be familiar with TCL for its Roku TVs, but it also makes Android TVs – though that is more recent. And the 4-Series Android TV is a really good option for a second bedroom or even a first apartment. That’s because it doesn’t come in super large sizes – only 43 and 55-inches. And it’s also fairly cheap, at under $500.
This is a 4K HDR TV, with support for most HDR certifications, including HDR10 and HLG. Though there’s no Dolby Vision here, that’s saved for its more expensive Android TVs, it seems.

This is one of Sony’s more affordable TVs on the market right now. With a starting price of $599. It’s a 4K HDR TV, powered by the X1 processor, that is going to provide some incredible imagery on the X800H. And it will also upscale the content that is not in 4K.
Like most of these TVs, it has both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built-in, so you can choose which assistant you want to use. With Google TV, you are also getting access to a ton of great apps as well.
Hisense H9F Series

The Hisense H9F Series is a really good entry for the best Android TVs out there, as it’s an inexpensive TV that is actually really good. So it uses its own proprietary ULED technology, and you’ll notice it’s the only one on this list that uses ULED. But it works similarly to QLED and OLED. Where you’re getting a brighter picture, with better colors, but it doesn’t have the disadvantage of OLED and screen burn-in.
Hisense also uses artificial intelligence to improve the picture quality coming out of this TV. So it is also going to improve over time. There is also support for Dolby Vision and HDR10. This is going to improve ULED even more, giving you a picture with more dynamic range. You will really notice the difference if you watch a TV show or movie that is shot in Dolby Vision – Amazon Prime Video and Netflix have quite a few that are.
The H9F Series is also an Android TV model, which means that it does have support for Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa built-in. The TCL 5-Series actually runs on Google TV, but underneath that skin is Android TV, so it fits this list perfectly. It’s one of only a couple of QLED TVs on this list that run Android TV. And it’s also one of the cheapest.
This is the 5-Series from TCL, which usually means good, but not the best and not the worst. It’s a good middle-ground. And at $429, we can see why. It does offer Dolby Vision HDR, as well as HDR10 for some really great colors. It’s also QLED, so it’s going to look amazing anyways.
